It's a new variation of the Niki bag. It has slightly more Matte leather than the Niki bag which has a slight sheen to it. It also doesn't have an external back pocket to store your phone. The Small is very lightweight, comfortable and can be worn on shoulder and crossbody. Lastly, the website measurement says it's only 8.7" wide, but it looks larger than that in all pictures. I'm guessing 8.7" is only the width of the bottom rectangle, and does not include the sides that stick out. So in reality, it fits a lot more than a typical 8.7" bag. 4. Mar 28, 2023. #3. I've had it for about 7 weeks and have worn it going out, to concerts, casually, etc. I also wear it carefree, basically, and I see no scratches at all. The logo doesn't look quite as shiny but that could be my imagination. Actually, in the first two days that I got the bag, I noticed a scratch on the underside of the flap. I am looking at the college bag for everyday. I am usually a VERY large bag lady, haha. Love big bags. but need to downsize. I want a classic bag I can wear cross body. (In my 40s, sz 12) I really like the college bag, but also looking at lou vs camera. I want something I can wear all day going about town but still take me to night.
49. Aug 6, 2019. #5. I bought both bags and ended up returning the Lou Lou. I found the YSL logo on the Lou Lou too large for my tastes. The College also has the YSL logo but it doesn't feel as overpowering. Also, the more I look at bags the more I appreciate a back pocket, which the College has and the Louou does not. 1. Return both toy Loulou (lose 0) and camera bag in cinnamon and get the camera bag in black with ghw only. With the money I save on only purchasing one bag I could invest in something else. 2. Keep both the toy Loulou and camera bag in cinnamon because it would give me more variety. 3. Keep toy Loulou and exchange the camera bag for black . I have the YSL collage bag in the Large size with black hw and the new medium Chanel Boy bag in gold hw. Here are my comments: YSL: doesnt go crossbody. Is super light and has great organisation Inside the bag with two open sections and one big zipped. Also it has a slip pocket on the backside. The Large College is one of my favourite bags ever. It has everything i look for in a bag. Chevron quilting, lightweight, nice classic logo, antique aged hardware, mix between elegant and edgy, exterior back pocket, leather piece on shoulder strap and a chunky chain strap that is not too long. Sadly after a few weeks of using it, I lost one of the metal screws that goes on the side of the bag (to make it smaller). I called YSL and they were unwilling to help me. They were kind of mean and snotty (the one in SF anyway).
So I have the YSL envelope bag in a size medium, black on black hardware (TBH, it's been a while and I don't remember the size, it looks like a small size to me but I recall my SA telling me last week that the envelope bag sizing runs small and he said I actually got the medium lol) and I'm actually planning on getting the college bag in a size small, white with gold hardware.
